NOT QUITE THE SAME
(Screenplay Adapted from the Memoir)
A young lesbian leaves home looking for love in all the wrong places.
Synopsis:
Maggie Moore and her partner, Teresa Richards, travel to a small cemetery in Louisiana to confront ghosts from Maggie’s youth. From strippers to the supposedly sanctified, the women in Maggie’s memories ignite passion and pain. They become a part of the patchwork that changes her life forever. Seattle in the 60s is the setting for the young lesbian’s unlikely romantic adventures. Although none of these liaisons last, she remembers them forty years later, and makes a final homage to the turmoil of her youth.
